We just installed our Tigerwood deck – it looks beautiful. We were very pleased with your company’s service & product. After we applied the Ipe Oil we neglected to wipe up any excess from the roller, it didn’t look like it was pooling, but after 24 hrs. we notice some sheen & tackiness in places. Should I try to rub off the excess with a soft cloth & mineral oil, or just leave it alone & it will wear off? Also, we live in Maine where it will be covered with snow for about 3 mos. Thanks for your help.

Joan,
I’m glad to hear that everything has gone good and that you are happy with the product. It’s comments like yours that make coming in everyday that much easier.
In terms of the access oil, you can try to pressure wash the surface or use the deck cleaner that we carry. If this doesn’t work I would wait it out until the spring and see what happens. Reason being is the next step would be to sand the surface and start over but like you said its going to be snowing on us in 3 months (I’m in Buffalo NY).
