Ipe Pool & Patio Decking in the Grand Mayan Resort in Los Cabos
When the Grand Mayan Hotel in Los Cabos contacted us for hardwood decking, they needed pool decking that could prevent slips and falls. They were glad to hear that upscale hotels and resorts across the world have purchased pool decking from us because our premium grade ipe dries fast, resist scratches and has high slip resistance. They also realized that an ipe deck could keep their guests safe, while also reducing accident claims.
With thousands of guests using the pool and patio areas every year, the Grand Mayan hotel in Los Cabos also needed material that could take a pounding while also looking good in the face of constant exposure to the sun, heat, and humidity.
When you see the completed deck and patio area, it's easy to see why choosing ipe decking was a no-brainer. See more here:

Building a Tigerwood Deck in Orange County, CA
Deck Maintenance Tip DIY Deck Inspection
Your deck's structural integrity is something you can't overlook, or take for granted.
This is why routine deck inspections are key to extending the life of your deck and keeping you and your loved ones safe.
Deck Inspection Tip #1:
How are the fasteners that run through the ledger holding up? If you installed your deck with 1/2″ diameter lag screws you should be in good shape. If you or your deck builder ran nails through the ledger to the rim joist, you should, one by one, replace them with the stainless steel hot-dipped galvanized lag screws and be sure to use washers for a more secure fit. Using nails to fasten your deck to the home is a disaster waiting to happen.
