Dust Collection System Installation
To improve the efficiency and daily operations of our North Carolina facility, we installed a state-of-the-art Dust Collection system.
The system arrived in pieces which meant our team had to put it together themselves!.
It took a lot of careful coordination to assemble this gigantic dust collection system.
Just like today's modern vacuum cleaners, this system is designed to never lose suction while it transfers tons of dust and wood fibers out of our facility.
Inside the silo are over 450 individual dust collection bags. These bags don't hold dust. Instead, they transfer saw dust into a saw dust trailer that holds over 20 tons of material.
At 45' tall, our dust collection system improves the indoor air-quality of our mill, increases machine efficiency, and keeps the entire facility cleaner.
The completed system has been in service for years and allows us to keep sending premium grade hardwood decking, custom-milled lumber, and flooring to homes and jobsites around the world.
