| WORKING PROPERTIES | Easy to glue, and takes stain and finishes very well. But due to its incredible density, Live Oak is tougher to work with than other types of oak. |
| DURABILITY | Live Oak is extremely strong and has very good resistance to decay. |
| USES | Cabinetry, furniture, interior trim, flooring, boatbuilding, barrels, and veneer. |
| COMMENTS | Historically, it has been used in shipbuilding, and was even used in the construction of the USS Constitution, better known as "Old Ironsides". |
