Why Choose Us?
Exotic Hardwood Decking From AdvantageLumber.com®
Advantage Lumber, LLC came into the market as AdvantageLumber.com over 20 years ago to provide sustainably harvested exotic wood products directly to builders, woodworkers, distributors, and manufacturers without any expensive third party involvement. We’ve grown at an exponential rate and recently bought a 145,000 sq.ft. mill in Brazil, retooling and expanding it to produce decking, flooring, and kiln-dried rough lumber from various South American Species. In the world of hardwood decking many companies tend to falsely claim to own mills, import direct, or have direct access to supplies in South America. The reality is much simpler; most of them end up buying from the same group of brokers who unjustly add to the cost of the wood and often jeopardizing the legitimacy of responsible forestry practices. Many of these companies take little or no responsibility for harvesting practices or legitimate certification processes. By owning our own mill in Brazil we have direct control over the entire process from forest to your jobsite. Our active involvement and close working relationship with the Brazilian authorities helps us ensure that our wood is Lacey Act compliant and is sourced from well-managed forests.
All our products are sold through one of our four locations in the U.S. and ship to your home or jobsite. In fact, many of our orders now ship for free in the contiguous U.S. and even some regions of Canada. Besides our South American decking species, we have over 100 species of wood that can be custom made into specific dimensions of rough lumber, flooring, molding, or any other application. Recently, we’ve expanded into the wood slab market with the launch of WoodSlabs.com and have built a mill at our headquarters in Florida to produce slabs from urban logs sourced from land development.
We take pride in our products and cannot emphasize enough just how much we want each customer to know their products come directly from the source, without the added cost or doubt that it was responsibly harvested.
